The Europe Calling! coffee truck will be at the De Heeg shopping centre on Roserije in Maastricht on Saturday 15 April 2017 between 12:00 noon and 3:00 PM. At the coffee truck, members of the Maastricht youth council will talk to passers-by about modern-day Europe. How much of Europe do the people of Maastricht notice in their daily lives? Do they feel European as well as residents of Maastricht?
The members of the youth council will conduct a survey into the usefulness and necessity of Europe. Taking part in the survey will earn interviewees a delicious cup of coffee from the coffee truck. The answers provided will be used during the citizens’ summit on 6 May in the ‘Gouvernement’ (the provincial government building) on the bank of the River Meuse. By taking part, the residents of Maastricht will make their own contribution to the debate on the future of Europe.
